Thursday 14th January : 11th February : 11th March 2021
2.45pm-3.30pm : Approximate 45 minute class.
We will end in either savasana where you may bring yourself out when ready or seated meditation.
We will be using a combination of breath work , yoga somatic movement, meditation and some yoga nidra to calm the parasympathetic nervous system and learn some techniques that may help us sleep.
We will be seated and lying down. There will be no standing postures.
Free to anyone that needs some self care.
We will be slowing down, taking a mixture of breathing, some yoga restorative poses and toning our vagus nerve to reduce inflammation in the body…resting and ending in savasana. You will bring yourself out of savasana in your own time.
I have used yoga to manage symptoms of multiple sclerosis and the inflammation in my body for over 10 years. I have been teaching yoga for 5 years and want to share how we can help ourselves tune in and become more Interoceptive.
Embodiment is a skill of inviting awareness into the body. Using yoga as a mindfulness practice we become more in touch with our ourselves and our environment allowing us to bring compassionate awareness to any challenges we may have, therefore connecting us to our inner wisdom and intuition.

Beginners Yoga Live Outdoor Course – Fully Booked
Outdoors, Lakeside, Social Distancing Mondays August 3/10/17th 10.45-11.45am
In yoga asana we move and link movement with the breath as we open our bodies into a moving meditation.
We use alignment to stay safe but always do what feels right for your body.
We never force the body into the yoga pose. We use the yoga pose to get into the body.
We practice yoga with a combination of Sthira and Sukha.
Sthira translates as strong, steady, and stable. Sukha means comfortable, happy, and relaxed.
Loosely defined, we should strive to practice yoga asana with a combination of strength (effort) and in a relaxed manner (ease). Yoga is how you feel in the body, not how you look and a vehicle in life for more conscious living.
